Bring it 2016!! I'm ready for ya! This was actually the first New Year's Eve in my life where I haven't been looking back on the year and felt immensely glad to see the back of it. I feel content, and if 2016 is similar, I will still be content! Although 2016 will be a bit of a new adventure, what with me graduating from uni this year.
We had the perfect views of all the fireworks across Portsmouth from their bedroom windows and balcony. After the countdown excitement we scuttled off to get home (and to pick up a pizza). There were no taxis so we walked almost an hour home with our pizzas, which we grated vegan cheese all over at home and re-heated. Very needed to soak up some of the prosecco and whisky.
We spent most of New Year's Day in bed, as I reckon many did, nursing (thankfully very small) hangovers and trying to catch up on some sleep. We eventually surfaced and went for a walk down to the seafront, stared at the crashing sea, and decided it was too fucking windy for a seafront walk so we walked around the rose gardens and Zen garden instead. Then we watched Scream 1 and 2 - good end to the day!
