Bookmarked #15

The real junk food project - a cafe that makes it's food up of supermarkets waste food. The owner has a "pay as you feel" policy, and if you can't afford to pay, you can do the washing up! The amount of waste produced in countries like the UK is horrific. Think of all the scraps or unused food you throw out, then think of supermarkets and how much they also throw away!

Men don't trust women's emotions - but they really need to start. Very honest article, written by the husband.

Nigel Farage - "breastfeeding mum's should sit in the corner". - I honestly feel pretty scared of UKIP and the power they are gaining. I mean, all the people I talk to don't support them, the articles I read don't support them either. But all the media attention they get (which I know I am contributing to) means many don't even read what their policies are and vote for them because they've heard of them! This is exactly what the parents of a few of my friends have done! So please, if you're going to vote, become familiar with party policies and how they show themselves to the public.

If people voted for policies, the Green Party would win the next election - following on from above, if people actually knew the policies of the parties, the ones most agree with are those of the Green Party! This is why we need to read more about them to understand what each of them are about.

The "friend-zone" - ugh. Don't even get me started! I reckon many of my readers already understand this, but if you don't, have a read of this, then do some more reading. The "friend-zone" is just more male entitlement.

Finally, just an extra one 'cos it's relevant - all the items of clothing women have been told not to wear in 2014 - this reminded me of how far we still have to go, but also that more and more are standing up and fighting against this and obviously more people are seeing how wrong this is.

I know there were no fun articles here I'm afraid but these are some important ones I've been thinking of a lot recently and ones I've shared on my facebook, so I thought I'd share them here too. I hope you read them and learn something.xo

  2. Thank you :) I used to post them regularly, but I always forget to bookmark certain articles or they go out of date and become irrelevant. Might try and make it a monthly or bi-monthly thing and get organised! Me too, in my experience men can be super crazy too so I dunno how it has become a stereotype!
