Beauty review || Lush dream time bath melt

If you like bits of dead flower in a slightly off yellow milky bath this is the thing for you. I personally do not like a yellow bath with bits of dead flower floating in it. Ew. Especially not when the bath is only lukewarm. Ok so that bit was my fault. The rest stands though.

When it started melting I was all excited and happy to smell the vanilla-white-chocolate steam. But yeh it melts yellow. And the dead flowers. And my skin doesn't smell like vanilla OR white chocolate. I also don't feel any softer than usual. All in all, pretty dissapointing for £3.50 for a tiny bar. I expected more from a bath melt!

I actually have nothing good to say about it except it smells good in the pack but what's the point in it losing all smell when you put it in the bath?! Maybe I got a dud, I seem to get a lot of duds from Lush but with every other blogger going crazy for Lush I want into the club. So far it's a pretty crap club, soz loyal members.

If you've used this let me know what you thought please! Any Lush products you would recommend as fail-safe? I'm fed up of buying crappy products from Lush I am going to give up buying from them soon! xo

  1. It's so nice to see a honest review, thank you! I think Lush's showergels are more of a fail safe. You can obviously use them more than once so you get more for your money, they smell great and more importantly stay smelling great, and they lather up well too! I'm also a big fan of their hand creams if you need one that really works 'Helping Hands' is my favorite. :)

  2. I love your very honest approach in this review. I personally don't like the sound of this product. You've made a really unappealing picture in terms of this product. Maybe I'd buy it if you got a lovely vanilla scent off your skin. It doesn't compare to most of the things I've tried. I'm sure you'd enjoy the colourful bath bombs and things. :)

  3. Awh how sad, I have never tried any of the melts as I usually stick to bath bombs. I always purchase dragons egg when Im in, smells great and makes your bath a pretty colour!

  4. I haven't tried their shower gels or hand creams. I'm actually in need of new shower gel atm so will hopefully pick one up soon and give it a try! Thank you! :)

  5. It was only £3.50 but it wasn't even worth that! Don't know if I just got a dud or something :/ I've since tried one of the bath bombs which I mostly liked haha, I guess I am more picky than most :P xo

  9. As I don't have a bath, I don't have the luxury of relaxing with dead flowers...

Lush-wise I've tried the dry shampoo bars (The blue one and then one with weird brown bits in) and I've tried and hair conditioning mask that stinks of cinnamon. Literally stinks! But it's good for my hair, so I'm not complaining :)

(On a side note, I wanted to try my hand at a few reviews this year and I'm glad you took the somewhat sarcastic route! Just my kind of review!)

  12. I don't have a bath either but we go round to our friends to use theirs haha :P I never considered trying the hair products, I might if I feel like treating myself haha!

Haha knew you'd appreciate the sarcasm ;) glad someone does! I seem to find the sarcastic reviews come a lot easier than the positive ones, and everyone else does positive reviews so someone needs to show the bad stuff right?! :P xo
