Beauty review || Lush cosmetic warrior facemask

I honestly think I have the worst luck with Lush products. Last week I reviewed the dream time bath melt which was horrendous. Today I wanted to talk about the cosmetic warrior face mask from Lush, I'm hoping some of you have tried it and can tell me if it's meant to be like this!

First of all unless you love the smell of wet dog smeared across your face, this is disgusting. As a dog lover, I don't mind the smell of wet dog, but when it's creamed onto my face? Nah thanks. It has garlic in it, which could be the smell, but it also has honey, kaolin and tea tree oil and I smell no hints of any of those.

It's called cosmetic warrior for a reason as it's meant to "banish breakouts". I get quite a few spots at the moment, from stress and tiredness I reckon. I'm not sure how much good this face mask has done. I've been using it once or twice a week and keeping it in the fridge as I'm supposed to. Are my hormone levels just too crazy for this face mask to tame my skin?

It does leave my skin feeling super clean, but then so does my £2 cleanser from superdrug which is also a lot less effort. I keep trying facemasks but I honestly don't see that they work, has this particular one worked for anyone else? Have any of the Lush face masks worked for you?

Overall, another disappointing Lush product for me *cries*. Thank you though to those who recommended bath bombs and shower gels, I've tried a bath bomb which I'm semi pleased with (who thought that yellow would be a good colour for a bath though?!) and have another to try soon! Have any of the face masks worked with your skin? Just to add in, I'm editing this post a few weeks after writing it so haven't been using this facemask, and guess what!? My skin is clearing up so fast! All I needed was a few good nights sleep! xo

  1. That sounds horrible, will definitely not be trying that! I would recommend Cupcake from Lush, it smells very chocolatey but definitely does the job and I swear it prevents breakouts! xx

  2. I had horrible blemishes last summer, but after trying Love Lettuce mask from Lush it disappeared in two days. I don't know about Cosmetic Warrior though, sorry to hear that you had bad experience with it :(

  3. I was going to buy this but the fact that it had garlic in it totally put me off!

  4. I quite like Lush face masks, I recently had the chocolate one and just bought the oat one as well so will be reviewing that soon. I think with Lush you either like or you don't, shame you haven't got on with their products :(

  5. I have honestly never tried a proper face mask before and its something I really want to do. I just want to have really clean skin. If you find a great product be sure to let me know. Also you seem to be having bad luck with Lush products currently. Hope that changes soon.

  8. Apparently garlic is great for your skin, but the smell off this is pretty horrendous haha! I didn't check when I bought it to see what products were in it so didn't even realise there was garlic in it until writing this post whoops haha xo

  9. I haven't tried the chocolate one but want to just 'cos it's chocolate haha. I have tried the oat one and it was good and made me skin pretty soft tbh, it's just a bit tough to use 'cos it's so flaky. I'm doing OK with bath bombs so far ;) xo

  11. Eeew wet dog smell. I've not tried any of the face masks from Lush, just the shampoo and hair treatment (which Kris thinks stinks, but I like the cinnamon smell). You really aren't having much luck with Lush... maybe it's because all the famous bloggers get their stuff for free and you know how much better everything is when it's free ;)
