This week happiness is... #23

Before I get onto all the general happy things from this week something MEGA-EXCITING for me happened! You might know I'm in my second year at uni studying Biochemistry and French...well I decided at the start of the year I would be going to France next Summer to work in a lab for a couple of months with Erasmus. It's a lot of work to get it sorted but this week I found a place to stay and paid the first installment!! Squuueeeeeee!! I am basically hugely excited and it's going to be an amazing experience! I had to share it with you, hopefully nothing will get in the way and it'll all go ahead as planned. Anyway on with the little things that have made me happy this week...

The house being all cosy and Christmassy! I love it, home is always so much better when all decked out in Christmas decs!

Reading this. Homelessness is a problem all year round but I imagine it is worse around Christmas time, it's cold and lonely being reminded of everyone else with their families. People seem to have less time and blindly rush about not seeing. This girl is awesome! My and family and I donated money to Christmas at Crisis so people who are homeless have somewhere to go for Christmas day - they get much more than just food! Read my post here to find out a bit more!

Leek and potato soup, so comforting when it's cold and I'm ill! I know, I mention soup at least three times a week...

Finally having the time to join in a couple of twitter chats! I haven't in so long thanks to heaps of coursework and revision but Christmas holidays meant I could!

Taking a lil trip to Birmingham to go to the Christmas markets, and getting to spend time with my friend there.

Next week's happy list will include Chrisstmaaaas! But imma try and keep it to the little things, general weekly stuff 'cos I'll be posting about Christmas by itself too :) how has your week been? Are you excited?! xo

  8. Oh man I am craving leek and potato soup so much now! I agree it's so sad to see and actually think about the difficulties the homeless have at any time of year, but at Christmas it's definitely worse :-(

Huge well done to you and your family for donating! Lovely gesture.
