The Jolly Blogger Tag

Early Christmas dinner with the housemates.

I always say this when I start a tag post, but I rarely do tag posts. Just because I prefer to have more of my original thoughts in a post rather than something prompted but around Christmas time when there is a theme I think it can be a great way for us all to find out how we each celebrate Christmas! So I will be taking part in this one since Danielle from Underland to Wonderland tagged me in her Jolly Blogger post.

1. Do you open your gifts on Christmas eve or Christmas day?
Christmas day, always! We have Santa presents in the morning, and tree presents after dinner.

2. Favourite Christmas song?
Dominic the Donkey. I talk about this every Christmas and still for some reason people tell me this song reminds them of me.

3. Favourite Christmas movie?
Love Actually! I don't think I really have a proper favourite, I watched Love Actually the other day so it is now! Or does Harry Potter count? Not techinically Christmas, but the books and films make me feel all Christmassy!

4. Favourite Christmas decoration?
I've had gold glittery robin for the tree for as long as I can remember, and I don't remember when or how I got so attached to it!

5. Favourite Christmas food?

6. Favourite Christmas drink?
Mulled wine or mulled cider!

7. Snow or no snow?
Snow please! I love it!

8. Do you send out cards, or not at all?
I don't send cards usually but this year I've made two, one for each of our neighbors.

9. Do you secretly still believe in Santa Claus?
Um, no? I actually think if I ever have kids I won't do the whole Santa thing because I think children need to learn that it's from hard work that their parents can afford these presents for them, not just a man with an endless supply of presents for all the kids in the world!

10. Your favourite winter clothing item?
All of my hats.

11. One beauty product that you can't live without this winter.
I don't know, face cream?

12. Best Christmas memory.
Way too many to pick one! Just every year doing the traditions with my family like putting up the tree, trying to guess what the presents under the tree are, wrapping presents, stuffing...

And now I tag these gals...
Kerri from Crumbs in the Bed
Corinne from Skinnedcartree
Jade from JaseyJade
Jacky from Do it for the Irony
and Ellen from Ellen's Blog

  1. My favourite Christmas movie is Die Hard, not very traditional, but I still love it.
I agree with you about the Santa thin. Children should know that you don't get things for free and you do have to work for things sometimes.

    Gems x

  2. Ooh I haven't watched Die Hard but I soo want to! My housemates were telling me that it's a Christmassy film! It's something I've only thought of recently, especially because there are so many children out there who have nothing, and nothing on Christmas day xo

  3. Thanks for the nomination! I have so blogging planned for tomorrow so I might just take a look at these questions :)

Yes for snow and yes for stuffing! I actually just bought my Christmas cards today and I should be sending them on Monday haha!

  4. Yay, I'll keep an eye out on your blog for it! :D xo
