If you choose to drink and say "I won't get too wasted" you will get too wasted and despite all the advice out there saying "don't make a fool of yourself" I'm telling you the opposite. Go for it, don't hold back. You'll make crazy weird friends and that's always a good thing.
Don't worry if you don't get to all the events you've bought tickets for. I and my housemates last year didn't manage to. We got way too drunk at home just the four of us and ended up having more fun at home than at the events.
Learn to love cheap booze. We discovered bag wine from Lidl very early on and never looked back.
You will learn your limits. And you will exceed them.
I'm not gonna tell you to not get too wasted and not vom 'cos let's face it, it happens to the best of us. Just when you do, try not to vom on your housemate's clothes. Lucky for my housemate, I found it pretty jokes when he did it, but you might not have such a lovely housemate (the air is thick with cloying sarcasm here).
Get to know the people who work in your local kebab shop. They'll give you and your friends free chips and your friends will love you forever.
Get the Dominos app. You're gonna need it.
Also don't worry about whipping up any fine ass recipes to snapchat to your parents, plenty of time to work on those cooking skills later.
What are your experiences of freshers week? Looking forward to it if you're starting university this year?
